The scientificity of the Human Sciences does not depend on the absolute accuracy of their postulates - in fact, even the Natural Sciences are not “exact”, as has been pointed out elsewhere - but on the viability of these postulates being applied as a unitary whole with a certain meaning and thus providing a relative understanding of society and Man, leading to valid diagnoses of human problems and suggesting solutions. It is true, however, that human science's inability to produce exact knowledge does not allow for an always accurate diagnosis of social problems and prevents, or at least does not guarantee, effectiveness,
or at least does not guarantee the absolute effectiveness of the solutions to these social problems. However, this does not detract from the scientific status of the Humanities.
