CAPES Qualis Journal Classification

2026-01-14

It is with great satisfaction that we announce that the Journal of the Federal Regional Court of the 3rd Region celebrates two important milestones in its academic and scientific trajectory.

In the most recent four-year evaluation conducted by CAPES, an agency of the Brazilian Ministry of Education, the journal advanced from the “B4” classification to the “A3” stratum under the Qualis Journals classification. This achievement represents recognition of the journal’s quality and national impact. The result reflects the continuous improvement of its editorial standards, the technical and scientific rigor of the peer-review process, and the quality of the articles published.

Furthermore, the journal has been accredited by Crossref to assign a unique persistent digital identifier, known as a DOI (Digital Object Identifier), to its articles. This measure ensures the long-term preservation and accessibility of published content, facilitates its interconnection, citation, and metric tracking, and enhances the journal’s visibility in international databases and indexing services.

These advances demonstrate the commitment of the Federal Regional Court of the 3rd Region to excellence in scholarly publishing and to consolidating the journal as a channel of dialogue with the academic community and society at large, serving as a relevant vehicle for doctrinal debate and the dissemination of legal scholarship at the national level.

The journal will continue its efforts toward continuous improvement in a consistent, ethical, and transparent manner, with the aim of strengthening the impact of its publications and expanding the internationalization of its content. These efforts are aligned with the journal’s strategy of meeting the requirements for indexing in internationally recognized databases and indexing services, such as Scopus, Web of Science, SciELO, and OpenAlex.

Finally, we would like to express our sincere gratitude for the collaboration and dedication of the entire team, including directors, editorial board members, peer reviewers, authors, judges, court staff, and readers, whose contributions have made these achievements possible.
