Editorial line

The content of the “Original Articles” section is intended for the publication of unpublished scholarly articles, with a particular focus on Law as applied to Federal Jurisdiction. Without prejudice to this focus, the Journal also accepts scholarly contributions addressing the various fields of Public and Private Law, as well as the humanities and interdisciplinary fields related to the legal phenomenon, including, among others, Philosophy of Law, Legal Anthropology, Sociology, and Forensic Psychology, with the purpose of broadening thematic diversity and enriching legal scholarship and debate.

With the aim of fostering scholarly exchange and expanding the circulation of legal knowledge, the Journal encourages research addressing legal issues of global scope, matters of cross-border relevance, or comparative or transnational perspectives, engaging in dialogue with legal debates developed across different institutional and geographical contexts. The Journal also encourages collaboration among researchers from different regions of Brazil and among researchers affiliated with foreign institutions, with a view to promoting diversity of perspectives and strengthening scholarly cooperation networks.

These guidelines do not, in themselves, constitute criteria for preference or acceptance of submissions. All articles are subject to a double-anonymous peer-review process, in accordance with the scientific and editorial standards established in the section concerning the “Peer-Review Process”.

In addition to publishing scholarly articles, the Journal includes sections devoted to the dissemination of “case law” and “precedential summaries” issued within the scope of the Federal Justice of the 3rd Region (São Paulo/Mato Grosso do Sul – Brazil), pursuant to Articles 113 and 116 of the Internal Rules of Procedure of the Court.

Exceptionally, special sections may be established for the publication of thematic dossiers, case-law commentaries, or other documents of legal and scholarly interest, upon proposal by the Federal Appellate Judge serving as Director of the Journal or by the Editorial Board.
